It’s a new year, and that year is full of chances. Chances to get back in contact with people you’ve disregarded before, chances to start up new things and return to the old, chances to promise yourself that you’ll be better.
A new year popping up was never exactly special to me. I’ve made new years resolutions in the past just to join up with the crowd of people who are always doing it. That’s just me, though- a lot of people love the new year and that opportunity, and that’s completely fine. I support them!
How 2018 went for me:
Needless to say, 2018 was an interesting year for me.
I traveled to Puerto Rico on a 5-day school trip, and the experience was amazing! It was my first time outside of the U.S. If I had this blog up and running back then, I would have definitely given a daily update!
I struggled a lot with college courses. I recently switched my major from a biology BS with a minor in chem to a biology BA with a minor in Japanese and creative writing (sorry that sentence was so long and weird; there were no opportunities for commas in that).
That was pretty much the bulk of my 2018. A lot of small things here and there, but overall, it was a pretty chill year.
I’m definitely open for discussion! Tell me how your 2018 went, and if you have any plans for the future after reflecting on that year.
Happy new year!
