I was tired of living in these dark, unforgiving woods.
I was running low on food and motivation. I hadn’t seen a car in weeks, and the ones that I saw before always drifted right on past.
I was ready to end it all. I still had my pocketknife with me, and right when I was ready to take my own life, I saw a car in the distance. I eagerly held my thumb out, and the car came to a stop.
This is the point where their life ended and my new life began.
